The 2013 supermoon rises over the spire of the church of Saint Marjeta (Sveta Marjeta) in Prezganje in the Jance hills to the east of Ljubljana, Slovenia. This was shot on the evening of June 22nd, the night before totality and the moon was approximately 98% full.

I am a writer and photographer from the UK. My photography was born from my desire to travel to exotic countries. A four-month journey around Mexico then filled me with the desire to capture the wonderful life and scenery that had filled my eyes and fuelled my imagination. So I decided to invest in my first SLR and start to learn how to take better photos. The rest, as they say, is history.
